Susan Lendermon - Wellness Partnership Coordinator

Susan is a Staunton native who has spent the last decade with local nonprofits after a number of years as a teacher.  She holds a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Virginia, as well as post-graduate work in Education.  In her free time, she is an avid photographer and gardener.

Krystal Moyers - Co-Chair

Krystal is a health educator and serves as the manager of the Community Outreach Department at Augusta Health.  She graduated from James Madison University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. In 2009 she received a Master of Health and Physical Education Degree from Virginia Tech. She is a certified Health Education Specialist through the National Commission of Health Education Credentialing.  As Augusta Health's Community Outreach Manager, Krystal oversees Augusta's Health Community Needs Assessment, the corrosponding implementation strategy, and the major programs being implemented to address the top health priorities of Staunton, Augusta County, and Waynesboro. She is passionate about creating systemic change in the health of our community to ultimately improve population health. 

Krystal and her husband, Justin, live in Mount Crawford on a farmette with their goats, chickens, dogs, and cats.  Krystal enjoys being physically active, especially in the outdoors, adventures in new places, flower and vegetable gardening, and completing home renovation projects.

 

 

Erin Botkin - Co-Chair

Erin has worked in Prevention Services with Valley Community Services Board for over 10 years.  In her professional role, Erin delivers community trainings in adult mental health first aid, applied suicide prevention intervention skills training, and the safe TALK curriculum.  Promoting wellness in the community is a shared value of both VCSB and The Wellness Partnership.

 

 

 

Janice Gentry - Secretary

Janice graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Mathematics and worked in computer software and telecommunications management before following her calling to serve others by joining Valley Program for Aging Services (VPAS) in 2004.  Her role at VPAS helps her empower, and find opportunities for, residents over 60  so that they can lead engaged lives.  Janice is currently the Secretary for the Greater Augusta Wellness Partnership, and has served on the Steering Committee for not only the Wellness Partnership, but also the Community Health Forum.

 

 

 

Anna Leavitt - Past Chair

Anna is the Director of the Community Action Partnership of Staunton Augusta and Waynesboro, or CAPSAW. A longtime stakeholder in the Community Health Forum, she served as the first Co-Chair, and has successfully helped to build a transition to the Greater Augusta Wellness Partnership.  Anna is a certified Results Oriented Management and Accountability implementor with over 20 years of nonprofit experience serving the region.

 

 

 

Dr. Drew Gogian   Past Co-Chair

Drew Ellen Gogian is the Founding Director of the School of Nursing at Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences, Mary Baldwin University.  She received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing at BRCC, a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing at UVA, a Master of Science in Nursing in the Nurse Educator tract at ODU, and a Doctor of Education in Higher Education and Adult Learning at Walden University.  She has over 22 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, Director of Nursing, and Nurse Educator in the Shenandoah Valley.  Dr. Gogian is a former Co-Chair of the Greater Augusta Wellness Partnership and has been active since 2006.

 

 

 

 

Deborah Bundy-Carpenter

Deborah is the Nurse Manager for the Health Departments of the Central Shenandoah Health District.  She is a Nursing Alumnae of George Mason University and a Scholor of UNC's Public Health Leadership Institute and the Southeast Public Health Management Academy.

 

 

 

 

Laura Craig-Sims

Laura is a registered nurse with Hospice of the Piedmont.  She graduated from the University of Phoenix.  She is a Faith Community Nurse at Bridge Christian Church in Fishersville, VA.
