Stuff the Bus is the annual school supply drive hosted by United Way of Greater Augusta in partnership with the Harrisonburg Radio Group during Virginia's Tax Free Weekend.
STB 2018 kicks off at 9 am on Friday, August 3rd and wraps up at 6 pm on Sunday, August 5th.
Volunteers will be located at the Staunton and Waynesboro Walmart for the entire weekend helping collect and sort the supplies. Following the weekend of collecting, volunteers will help sort the supplies and prep them for delivery to the 29 local schools in Staunton, Waynesboro and Augusta County.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
1. VOLUNTEER for a 2 hour or 5 hour shift at either location, we need volunteers to help us:
COLLECT SUPPLIES- This 2 hour shift will hav eyou standing in front of Walmart talking to customers while handing out the supply list.
SORT SUPPLIES- This 2 hour shift will hav eyou organizing and sorting supplies into boxes.
MANAGE INVENTORY- This 5 hour shift will hav eyou responsible for maintaining the count sheet and providing instructions to volunteers that are sorting the supplies. This volunteer will work closely with the Staff to fully understand the inventory process. Must be able to life boxes and comfortable with climbing in the back of the trailer.

2017 was a record breaking year.
With the help of sponsors, 350 Volunteers and the generosity of this community, we collected over $61,000 in school supplies.
