The last seven years five months at the United Way of Greater Augusta have been a time of great excitement, growth and satisfaction. I have treasured this time.
Today, though, I am writing to let you know I have accepted a position as the President and CEO of the Delaware Grantmakers Association in Wilmington,DE starting February 2017.
While this is a fantastic opportunity that promises to be challenging, exciting and fun, it is difficult leaving you and the wonderful work we do together. What we have accomplished over the last several years in the Greater Augusta region has fundamentally improved the way donors and nonprofits serve in this region. As is often the case, it's the people who have made these experiences exceptional.
Together we have broken through artificial barriers, abandoned territorialism and ignored ego to focus on the work that needs to be done. Not only has it been gratifying and enjoyable, most importantly it has resulted in better services for our community. Now it is my goal to build on these rich experiences while serving the entire state of Delaware.
I hope to be able to see many of you in person before I leave. I will be at the 75th Anniversary Gala and hoping that you can come support us at this event and toast together to 75 years of great work by our communities servant leaders since 1941.
Thank you for the opportunity and pleasure of working with you all. Have a wonderful holiday season.
President and CEO
