This year United Way of Greater Augusta has several partnerships within the community.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Sign Up Event

The Sign up event will be for parents of children from birth to 5 years old at the Staunton Public Library on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 9 am to 11:30 am.  Members of the Staunton Rotary Club will be in the Children’s area on the ground floor to enroll children in this program sponsored by the United Way of Greater Augusta, the Dollywood Foundation, the Staunton Rotary Club, Friends of the Staunton Library, and others.  Your child will receive a free book every month from sign up date to their fifth birthday.  

Augusta County Fair

In August 2011, United Way of Greater Augusta partnered with the Augusta County Fair for Stuff the Bus. In addition to having an informational booth inside the expo center, UWGA had stations outside of each gate to collect school supplies for local area children. Anyone bringing in a school supply received a dollar off admissions.

Venom Softball Annual Cornhole Tournament

In October 2011, UWGA will partner with our local softball team, Venom Softball, in throwing a cornhole tournament to benefit United Way. For more information, click here.
