$443,838 was allocated to the above agencies in support of their programs.
The UWGA Board of
Directors and Allocation Committee were able to allocate agency funding at
93% of last year’s funding level. This accomplishment was attained despite
the challenge of having reached 75% of the 2006 campaign goal of $900,000.
In addition to
funding these agencies / programs, the United Way of Greater Augusta
increased their allocation toward Emergency Services to $14,800 to ensure
that funding for emergency services is available and more equitably
distributed throughout the service area of Augusta County, Staunton and
Waynesboro. Special “Thanks” to our Allocation Commit-tee under the
leadership of Board members Nat Burress as Chair and Vince Pici as
Co-Chair for all their hard work.
